If an investment manager advertised an “S&P 500” fund, it would surprise me if they planned to invest any less than 100% of my assets in the S&P 500. There might be valid reasons why this is not the case, but in general, I would expect my money to be tracking the US stock market and not invested in, say, Indian stocks, or American bonds.
